At the heart of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train at Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway is a hand-picked, professional cast of immersive performers, carefully selected and trained by Pure Entertainment Group. As the official casting and performance directors, we ensure every character – from the Conductor to the Chefs, the Hobo, and Santa Claus himself – is brought to life with authenticity, charm, and theatrical flair. we are looking for people with dynamic stage presence, able to bring energy to the musical numbers, and festive storytelling, to make every journey a fully realised live Christmas show on rails.
Inspired by the iconic Warner Bros. film and classic children’s book, THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is a unique Christmas attraction that offers a one-of-a-kind theatrical journey to the North Pole. Families are invited to board vintage-style steam trains at multiple UK heritage railways, where they’ll step into a fully immersive world filled with festive magic, live performances, and cherished holiday traditions. The experience includes singing, dancing, hot chocolate, a reading of the original story, and of course, a special visit from Santa. With rich storytelling, detailed set design, and a heartwarming atmosphere, THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is more than a trip—it’s a memorable Christmas adventure for the whole family.
